Epilepsy Education and Awareness

Youth on the Move engages youth in training as youth coordinators to create awareness on epilepsy. This is through education forums in different counties. YotM works with Youth groups, Educational institutions, Religious institutions, Chief Barazas, women and men groups. Through these forums education on epilepsy causes, triggers, first aid, treatment and management is conducted.

People living with epilepsy(PLWE) continue to suffer as a result of stigma in the community. Stigma is a result of ignorance and held myths and misconceptions on epilepsy. Through awareness and education, PLWE are accepted and are able to get proper treatment.
