TURN YOUR MOVES

Youth on the Move engages the correctional and rehabilitation facilities in partnership with the prison department of Kenya. YotM has been able to engage Nyeri, Naivasha, Kamiti, Shimo la Tewa, Nakuru, Kakamega, Eldoret and Busia prisons so far. Persons living with epilepsy face challenges such as excessive heat, congestion, inadequate meals and tasks engaged. Some shared that stress and poor anger management due to not accepting their condition led them to engage in crime. Through prison visits, trainings on epilepsy care and management, stress management, anger management and understanding of rights and responsibilities were conducted.
